If you happen to be searching to add a small protection to your residence or apt, this may well be what you're seeking for.
Initial off, it's got some good features. The dialing of numbers operates properly, and there is a panel you can remove that gives access to some terminals that allow you to add other inputs and an external siren. Also, the siren inside is plenty loud in my opinion.
The longest delay you can set prior to the program triggers is 20 seconds. So if this is not mounted ideal close to your door, you quite a lot have to go straight to it and disarm it. The delay immediately after arming it is a solid 60 seconds.
My largest difficulty with it was that it's all a single piece, mainly because the most effective location to put a motion sensor is high up in a corner, and the most effective location to place the control box is someplace hidden close to your door (and near a telephone outlet). I actually hacked apart the device and extended the wires connecting the two pieces so I could mount the motion sensor farther from the control box. This arrangement is operating out nicely. The battery backup functions fine, and I also extended the power cord to the manage box.
The motion sensor itself picks up motion extremely nicely and does not pick up movement outside glass windows, exactly what you'd want.
The ease of adding inputs and outputs and extending and modding what is there tends to make this device a superior brain for a DIY safety program. Plus, you cannot beat the price tag.
This little gem is priceless! We had doubts of it is dependability and despite the fact that we've only had it installed for a couple of weeks it has already worked nicely....a little as well properly. The unit is placed in a remote location and dials our property. One late night the telephone rang and the alram sounded - rushed to the sight with gun and clubs in hand only to uncover that a incredibly substantial spider triggered it. Whew, a tiny bug spray later we are really pleased with this unit.
