Skylink is the first company to incorporate rolling-code technology into a home/business security system, which means that the SC-1000 provides maximum security while virtually eliminating the number of false alarms. A rolling code (or hopping code) is often used in entry systems that don't require a key, because it prevents an eavesdropper from capturing and using your personal security code. Thanks to rolling-code technology, the SC-1000's control panel will recognize radio waves only from its remote sensors (door/window sensor, motion sensor, and keychain transmitter), thereby preventing high-tech thieves from duplicating signals and tampering with your system.
Motion, Door, and Window Sensors for Reliable Emergency ProtectionThe SC-1000 comes complete with a motion sensor and two door/window sensors--enough coverage for small- to medium-sized homes. Because it works in conjunction with up to 30 Skylink security accessories, including Dial Alert, Alarm Detector Sensor, and Flood Sensor, this system can be customized to suit your needs and can be expanded to accommodate larger spaces or businesses that require a higher level of protection. If any sensors are triggered when the system is armed, the included 110dB siren will make a piercing sound, and the sensor will immediately send a wireless signal to the system's dialer.
Automatically Calls for Help in an EmergencyIn case of an emergency, the SC-1000 follows a straightforward process to make sure you get the help you need. When you receive the system, you can program the emergency dialer to call up to nine different phone numbers, including your cellular phone, a pager, your doctor, relatives, friends, neighbors, etc., should something trigger one of the sensors. You'll also record a personal 40-second emergency message. In case of emergency, the system's dialer will automatically dial the number or numbers you have entered. Once the recipient picks up the phone, the emergency dialer will play your prerecorded message and inform the recipient that you are in an emergency situation and that help should be sent right away.
Lighted Keypad and Low-Battery Indicator for Easy OperationOffering simple and straightforward operation, the SC-1000 features a lighted keypad that is easy to read in dark conditions and offers Chime, Instant, and Delay modes. It runs on AC power with nine-volt alkaline battery backup (battery included), and provides a helpful low-battery indicator to prevent a loss of power.

Consumer Testimonials
I bought the SC-1000 system several months ago. It was particularly straightforward to set up. I use it in silent mode as the siren cannot be heard outside of the residence. I disabled the siren manually. If the program is triggered the 1st sound you hear is the dialer repeating the emergency message I have recorded. This prevents a burglar from discovering the unit and ripping out the phone cord. So by the time they hear the message, it's too late.
I reside alone on the edge of Detroit and have it set up to dial my cell telephone if triggered. I have been in "test" mode as I have a cat and didn't want to call the police with a false alarm no false alarms for 3 months.
Earlier this week the program known as me with an alarm. I function 40 minutes from home and decided to check it out as a achievable false alarm. It wasn't. The thieves had broken into the home by way of the back door. They should have heard the message and left promptly given that nothing was taken even some money lying on the dining space table. I would call that a good results.
I plan to add an siren to be placed outside of the residence to alert neighbors which was advised by the police.
We are at present beneath contract to one of those household monitoring corporations and are searching to get some thing on our own and out of their contract. We had hoped this would be the one particular.
Regrettably we had a number of times when the alarm would go off for no cause. I do not will need false alarms to drag me property from work or develop unnecessary panic. We created adjustments and did some difficulty shooting, but the phantom alarms continued.
Installing the unit is really painless and the instructions are clearcut to use. But when we known as the provider to ask concerns about the product, we only received 1 call back (when we had been not dwelling), and immediately after we returned the call, we never heard back from them again. Maybe it was just some glitch or miscommunication. But we've decided to continue looking till we discover the right match.
