I've had my technique for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that working with much better quality batteries than those supplied will mean changing them closer to as soon as a year. Not poor at all, offered that I don't have to run any wires to these locations.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they look somewhat tacky in my opinion. Rather, I got a couple additional motion detectors to present total coverage of my residence. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do choose up my four pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I have not had any false alarms where I could not figure out the lead to. There have been a few days exactly where I forgot to disengage the process and walked right through the motion detection field. Naturally, I can not blame that on the process.
Overall, I'd say this is an stunning technique for the price tag. The manage pad looks kinda cost-effective, so I did not prominently display it in my house. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are extremely tiny and unobtrusive. I've told family and good friends that I have the alarm system and most of them didn't have any concept, as the detectors blend in very well.
Hi absolutely everyone, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine two days ago. I set it up yesterday. Since the technique comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only issue i had to adjust was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been adequate for me as that factor is as sharp as a needle. Given that i have no pets and no kids i have mine on high and it really is excellent. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing around with but they're operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode simply because the siren is incredibly loud, my ears had been ringing all night soon after i had tested it. But i have awesome comfort knowing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i really feel i am in danger. It is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am pretty pleased with the technique. I'm told this a newer model, i am not really certain how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anyone could tell me the difference that would be wonderful. All in all i am fairly happy with the program and i'm giving it four stars since of how sharp the motion sensor is and because the siren is exceptionally loud. I sleep properly at night....very properly.
