Client Evaluations

I wanted a affordable and straightforward to install technique to alert me if my young daughter somehow managed to get out of the home while I was napping. We have physical security (with locks) but I just wanted an added layer of protection.
This system met my demands perfectly. I skipped the screws and double sided tape as this technique will be replaced by one thing additional sophisticated in a year. I used hot-melt glue to attach the door sensors. I acquire hot-melt glue a lot easier to remove than double sided tape.
Thanks to the beep generated by the alarm box, I can simply test the sensors by opening a door when the technique is not armed. So far, it has been 100% reliable in my two story, 3200 square foot house.
I have noticed complaints about unreliable operation from other prospects. As with any wireless system, your experience may differ. Any individual who lives near a radio or Tv transmitter or beneath power lines could obtain the wireless connections unreliable.
The most important improvement I will make is to switch over to the embedded magnet sensors that my builder put into the doors and windows. The SC-10W method would work just fine with that. The major issue lacking which will lead to me to switch is the lack of a dialer that can send an alarm by wireless phone or supervised link.
Most bad guys should certainly be smart enough to cut your telephone line.
A different wish list item is to use a rechargeable battery in the alarm unit. According to the manual, the alarm unit's battery requirements to be replaced even although the unit is powered externally.
Lastly, it would be excellent if Skylink's security and automation systems had been integrated. Imagine you could define operating modes for your method.
In "evening at home mode", motion detectors would control lighting and door sensors are disarmed.
In "sleeping mode", motion detectors would be disabled (not armed, a person may require water or to use the bathroom) and door sensors would be armed.
In "weekend at household mode", each motion detectors and door sensors would be disarmed.
In "out shopping or traveling mode", each motion detectors and door sensors would be armed and the dialer would be enabled.
In "party mode", outdoor lights would be turned on at sunset and private regions of the residence would be alarmed.

We purchased this program to pair the door sensors, remotes and the siren with an SC-100 technique. The instructions to pair these pieces are not offered in the manual that came out of the box, but it is painless to download them from Skylink web page for each and every person piece. (I initially created the siren unpaired from the other 4 pieces it came with.) General the setup was very smooth.
The siren beeps when I disarm the most important unit, but it does not beep when I arm it. This is about the only complaint I have with it. The siren is incredibly loud as soon as the alarm is tripped. You will wish you did not keep the remotes next to the siren if you trigger it by mistake. :)
